World-Wide Mustard Competition

World-Wide Mustard Competition is conducted each spring. Since 1994, mustards from all over the world have competed for top honors in various categories of mustard in this most prestigious tasting competition.

The competition is conducted under the auspices of the National Mustard Museum, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the public’s appreciation for and understanding of mustard.

After the competition is completed and medal winners determined, there is an awards ceremony, typically held at the National Mustard Museum in Middleton, Wisconsin.

If you are a food professional or serious mustard lover who would like to be a judge for future competitions, email Mrs. Mustard and we’ll add you to the list of mustard aficionados for consideration.

Are you a mustardmaker? Below you will find links to (1) the rules governing the competition; (2) a list of the categories in which you may enter your mustards; and (3) an entry form. If you would like to enter more than one mustard, you’ll need to duplicate the entry form and submit one for each mustard entered. (Click the links below to view PDF, right-click to download)

If you have any questions about eligibility or just the competition in general, do not hesitate to call (608-831-2222) or email the Curator.
