Elm Farm Ollie Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament
Support the nonprofit National Mustard Museum by playing in our tournament commemorating the first flight in an airplane by a dairy cow (Elm Farm Ollie) on February 18, 1930. Join us Saturday, February 18, from 6:00 pm until … well, until the cows come home (about 11 pm).
National Mustard Day
Every year this unique event brings mustard-lovers together from all around the globe. A varied crowd always gathers — some spicy, some some sweet; some exotic, some hot. With free hot dogs, live music, mustard games raising money for local charities, we paint the town yellow to celebrate the golden condiment with the summer’s best family-friendly food festival in the Midwest. National Mustard Day is hosted annually on a typically fittingly bright yellow sunshiny day at the National Mustard Museum on the first Saturday in August. The next National Mustard Day will take place on Saturday, August 4, 2012.
World-Wide Mustard Competition
Yes, indeed, the National Mustard Museum hosts not one but TWO of the premier mustard events in the world. Museum Curator Barry Levenson serves as the Coordinating Judge for the mustard industry’s biggest competition. The preliminary and final rounds of judging are held at the Mustard Museum in Middleton. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals are awarded in various categories. The competition reaches a yellow fever pitch when, from the 14 Gold Medal winners, a Grand Champion mustard is selected.
