Brunch for Mom

There are few things that Mom’s enjoy more than brunch with their family, right? Excluding, obviously, a wonderful Mustard Breakfast in Bed. But, if you’re in the Madison area and looking for some to help you with the pampering of mom, there are some great options for you. When we hosted the Iron Mustard Chefs Challenge this weekend with our An Evening of Mustard Royalty event, we learned the options are plentiful. The topic came up conversationally with some of our participating chefs and here’s a few links to what’s going on at their restaurants for Mother’s Day:

Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse Brunch menu, 10am-2pm, Greenway Station, Middleton — also serving dinner Sunday night

Liliana’s Restaurant Brunch menu, 10am-2:30pm, 2951 Triverton Park, Fitchburg — also serving dinner Sunday night (NOTE: A few personal faves of mine are their eggs benedict, buttermilk gravy, pasta with asparagus, and bananas foster bread pudding … mmmmmmm, I’m still tasting them from my Easter brunch at Liliana’s!)

** We recommend that you make reservations now for Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse and Liliana’s.

The Coopers Tavern Brunch menu, 20 West Mifflin, Madison — also serving dinner Sunday night

Brasserie V Serving dinner on Sunday and will be featuring it’s new spring dinner menu, 1923 Monroe St, Madison

Culver’s in Middleton is serving free one-scoop sundaes to all moms on Sunday, and the flavor of the day is Chocolate Eclair (yum!), check a Culver’s in your areas for their Mother’s Day specials

If you’re planning on cooking for mom, visit Steve at the seafood counter at Whole Foods in Madison, or look up Ginnie and her crew at the deli at Willy Street Co-op West for some great advice and direction on creating just the right meal for mom.

And don’t forget that mom also loves those mustards!
