We would like to apologize to all of our visitors who have experienced various degrees of inconvenience due to the ongoing road and building construction in Middleton. We extend a special apology to the Iowa family trapped in their SUV for three weeks when a cement truck mistakenly poured its load through their sun roof.
But the work is scheduled to be all done by Halloween. However, the Middleton City Administrator has announced plans to install speed bumps on all downtown sidewalks and walkways. “People are walking much too fast,” says. Mr. M. Davis, “and they need to slow down and leisurely enjoy what our fair city has to offer.” The project will take two years to complete and will be funded in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Loose Change (so says the Curator).
