Who’s the new champ?!
Well, the votes are in, they’re being tallied and we’ll soon know who the 2013 Grand Champion will be. After the final “Championship Round” judging was held at the Milwaukee Public Market, the World-Wide Mustard Competition has drawn to a close.
The 16 Gold Medal winners competed on Sunday, April 14, for the right to call themselves “2013 Grand Champion”. We’ll reveal the champ at a public event the weekend of April 27-28 (see below).
After beginning the competition at the National Mustard Museum in Middleton on March 24 with the Preliminary Round and more than 300 mustards from all over the world, the competition continued on April 7. More than 1,600 scores were recorded and tallied during the Medal Round, also held at the Museum.
Now, after final judging at the Milwaukee Public Market, the condiment world anxiously awaits its new champ.
